Saigo broke through for her first LPGA Tour victory in a major way by surviving a five-way playoff to win the 2025 Chevron Championship in late April. Saigo birdied the par-5 18th hole in regulation to get into the playoff and then was the only player to make a 4 on the same hole on the first playoff hole. As an LPGA Tour rookie in 2024, Saigo finished among the top 30 points leaders in the Race to the CME Globe to earn Rookie of the Year honors on the circuit. In 2022, Saigo registered five of her six victories on the LPGA Tour of Japan between March 6 and May 22. Her sixth came in November of 2023. Prior to turning professional, Saigo won the 2019 Japan Women's Amateur. In her rookie season on the JLPGA in 2021, she posted seven runner-up finishes to place fourth on the money list.
