Bio

Furue enjoyed her major-championship breakthrough in the 2024 Amundi Evian Championship with a dramatic one-stroke victory over Australian Stephanie Kyriacous. The Japanese sensation eagled the par-5 closing hole to secure the win, capping a final-round 65. It was Furue's 10th professional, eight of which have come on the LPGA Tour of Japan. Her other LPGA Tour win came in the 2022 Trust Golf Women's Scottish Open, an event co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour.  A week before the 2022 U.S. Women's Open, Furue lost in the championship match of the LPGA Bank of Hope Match Play to 2009 U.S. Women's Open champion Eun-Hee Ji. Furue's 2019 win at the Fujitsu Ladies on the LPGA Tour of Japan came as an amateur.
