S-3: Winner of 2024 U.S. Senior Women's Open

After consecutive runner-up finishes in her first two starts, Leta Lindley finally claimed the U.S. Senior Women's Open title, shooting a final-round 64 at Fox Chapel Golf Club, in Pittsburgh, Pa. This will be Lindley's 14th start in the U.S. Women's Open, but first since the 2011 championship at The Broadmoor. Lindley's husband, Matt Plagmann, caddied for her, while both of her children, son Cole and daughter Reese, were in attendance. Lindley grew up in the San Diego area and later played at the University of Arizona with future Hall of Famer and four-time USGA champion Annika Sorenstam. Lindley captured the 1994 Pac-10 Conference individual title. She turned professional shortly thereafter and had a long career on the LPGA Tour. Her lone LPGA victory came in the 2008 Corning Classic in a playoff. She also lost a playoff to fellow Wildcat Christa Johnson at the 1997 McDonald's LPGA Championship (now KPMG Women's PGA). Since turning 50, she has competed on the Legends of the LPGA, where she posted a pair of victories in 2023 before her triumph at Fox Chapel. She currently resides in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
