The 22-year-old enjoyed quite a U.S. Women's Open and major-championship debut at Lancaster (Pa.) Country by tying for ninth to earn an exemption into the 2025 championship. Then Takeda won the TOTO Japan Classic in a six-hole playoff over Marina Alex for her maiden LPGA Tour victory (co-sanctioned with LPGA Tour of Japan). Three victories and two runner-up showings in 2024 on the LPGA Tour of Japan vaulted Takeda up the Rolex Rankings. She picked up her second LPGA Tour win on March 9 by six strokes over Minjee Lee at the Blue Bay LPGA in the People's Republic of China. She also owns eight LPGA Tour of Japan victories. Her mother, Satoka, is a former professional golfer, and her aunt, Mayumi Hirase posted 18 victories on the LPGA Tour of Japan, and another on the LPGA Tour in 1996.
